Summary: The Piont of it All
Comment: I'm shocked to read the reviews about how good this CD is. I think Anthony Hamilton has a wonderful voice. But as soon as I put that CD in and played it, I got DEPRESSED! He could do so much better. I told my husband maybe we have to play it a couple of times and than maybe it will grow on you. With a voice like Anthony's he should fire his production team. I actually tried to take the CD back to the store and they would not let me return it. I do like one song on the CD " if you're cool!. I have been a fan since the first CD. It seems like Anthony is just putting stuff out there! We want quality Stuff!.

Summary: True R&B at its BEST
Comment: Simply put with no filler, this is truely one of the best R&B albums that has come out in the last 10 years. This is what alot of listeners mean when the same REAL R&B. AH sings with conviction. He makes you feel every word he sings. I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!

Comment: I am a huge fan of Anthony Hamilton. This album was phenomenal along with all of the rest of his music. He brings a unique flavor to the music game, one that should be highly praised, yet he doesn't get much recognition. This album is great! Keep making good music!

Summary: An Instant Classic!
Comment: If someone can tell me a better R&B album this year, please let me know. Anthony Hamilton keeps surpassing the conventional boundaries of R&B. In a time when so much music (and some parts of the world) has lost its SOUL, this is some serious good music. I play keyboard and this album has me going back learning the chords...they're sick!!
Some of my favorite tracks in no particular order: Hard to Breathe, Souls on Fire, Diamond in the Rough, Cool, Her Heart, the Day we met, damnit pretty much the entire album. Thank you Mr. Hamilton for a modern classic!!

2008 release. There is a tradition in classic Black music that goes back to the smooth crooning of Sam Cooke, the earthy gritty sound of Otis Redding, the lyrical beauty of Curtis Mayfield and the unfiltered intensity of Donny Hathaway. It's a combination of church-rooted hallelujah praisin' and tell-it-like-it-is storytellin'. Few contemporary artists are equipped to carry the torch with any sense of authenticity. Anthony Hamilton may be the sole-indeed, soulful-exception. Simply put, Anthony has proved to be the real deal, as audiences discovered during his countless road treks performing night-after-night before packed crowds of -as he puts it-'young thugs, white and black, mothers with babies on their knees, old school G's and kids looking for something they could feel and relate to.'
