Customer Rating: Summary: my kid loves it Comment: i think that the new chipmunks is pretty decent. is it something i really want to listen to day in day out not at all but my three year old and the four little girls i watch love it. which lets face it the target audience has and always will be kids ranging from 3-9. i think its great for em if it makes them happy it makes me happy and after reading the other reviews i just have to wonder when did the fun go out of listening to the chipmunks? its not supposed to be taken seriously. its not the 60's anymore folks and for that fact its not the 80's either i love it i always have loved the chipmunks and i always will its good light hearted fun
Customer Rating: Summary: Please leave Dee Town behind.. Comment: I think that the album is lopsided at best... I love the art and the fact that Ross Bagdasarian Jr is back as Dave Saville but Dave comes across as a bit mean to the boys.. At one pont he blirts out "suck it up.." to the boys.. I really don't think Dave would have said anything to that in real life.. Dave was never that way in the cartoon..
Another problem I have is how Dee Town overextended the 1983 opening to the original show.. I thought it was a bit much as it was too long and the fact that Dee Town's backup was overpowering the boys at one point or another.
It would be a better CD if the Chipmunks didn't come across as Greedy in HO HO HO either.. I pods, cash.. I feel mortified at the notion that is all kids really want.. Christmas is about FAMILY and Getting together..
I can't raite it too high as of these quetionable things on the disc. I am a fan but some of the songs do not seem right for the Chipmunks...
Customer Rating: Summary: The Chipmunks are back and better than ever Comment: I must admit, I am a fan of cover albums and the chipmunks. This album is filled with some great covers, great production, and just general happiness. That's what this world needs now and then. It's easy to just listen to in the good times and pull you up in the bad times. MUCH better than the Soundtrack album.
Track reviews:
1. A great redux of the original Alvin theme song. Rocky and poppy.
2. A smooth and funky remake that just spews groovy.
3. Best song on the album. Excellent remake with rocketing vocals.
4. A simply beautiful and joyful remake of this classic Jamaican beat.
5. A very uplifting song that is a message to families. Very nice ballad.
6. A fine remake of the Blink 182 song. Nothing special.
7. Another uplifting song that features quite a bit of positive rap.
8. Flying chords and vocals make this a song to belt out to. Nice female guest singer as well.
9. Funny and clever, this features Dave and the chipmunks arguing about Christmas spirit.
10. Alvin stars in this one where he just describes his love of all things rock. Definitely rocking, but not one of my favorites.
11. Honorable remake of the Daughtry hit. Wish it was a bit harder.
12. Title track just describes how the Chipmunks music is undeniable. I agree.
13. The original theme. What else is there to say?
14. A spooky remake of a classic. Weird, but good if you're in the mood.

Customer Rating: Summary: I wouldn't call it art, but... Comment: I think it's really fun. I liked that they mixed up the styles. Sure it's heavily produced but that's in step with the music they're covering. Or parodying. If you like Weird Al (I do) this will probably appeal to you.
Customer Rating: Summary: Here Come The Chipmunks Again Comment: It is so hard to believe that this past year has honestly been the hardest year for any record to really deliver heart and soul. Sadly though, most of the records that have caem out have actually been more like they've went to the garbage. But, that also can be said with cover albums, even from Alvin & The Chipmunks. With the surprise success of the Alvin & The Chipmunks movie that clicked with new younger fans, but not the original hard core fans, there was the need to see The Chipmunks to get the opportunity to cash in on the trumping success back to the music lovers, and that was also said with a new Alvin & The Chipmunks covers album.
Alvin & The Chipmunks, Undeniable, is the latest album that seems to appeal more to the kids, but doesn't actually bring in the distinctive feeling the way The Chipmunks used to, years ago. The album gears itself towards kids, and hopeful new fans who've loved last years' movie. The collection does include a few new cover from Alvin, Simon & Theodore, including a cover of Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer, the classic Journey standard Don't Stop Believin', Blink 182's All The Small Things(which was featured during the dissapointing Chipmunks video game), and a lackluster feeling of drive from Alvin on a cover of Daughtry's hit Home. There are some things here to appease to classic fans, including the original Alvin & The Chipmunks theme song from the classic 1980's NBC cartoon series, and a spooky cover of The Rocky Horror Picture Shows' Time Warp, which would've given a better spirit if it was released earlier for Halloween.
All in all, while Alvin & The Chipmunks Undeniable is not a must buy on for your music library, it give a perspective to find a different cover album, that should try to compete with the successful Kids Bop series'. I really am not the Alvin & The Chipmunks fan that I used to be, and I wish that there could've been a better opportunity to say meet the chipmunks.

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are back in 2008 with their first new non-soundtrack album in over 15 years. Undeniable features covers of major hits that have spent in excess of 100 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (including six songs that broke into the top 20!), as well as four new Chipmunks originals. With the band's 50th anniversary, the Chipmunks deliver yet another hit record as the follow-up to last year's platinum-selling. With over 40 million albums sold worldwide, two #1 Billboard Hits, and 3 GRAMMYr Awards, the Chipmunks are a phenomenon that just won't quit, and to celebrate their 50th anniversary Undeniable which was produced by Ali Dee (Speed Racer, Transformers, Garfield soundtracks).
