Customer Rating: Summary: simply amazing Comment: this documentary is the best you will ever see. For anyone who is an aviation enthusiast, member of the military, or some combination of both. This movie will motivate anyone who thinks they dont have a shot of achieving their goals. These two individuals had to overcome so much in order to achieve their life long goals of being Naval Aviators.
The cinematics are amazing, great footage, the score fits perfectly with every scene, simply unbelievable
Customer Rating: Summary: Great realistic movie Comment: This is a very well done movie based on two fresh Naval Aviators. It follows them through their struggles and life of becoming a figher pilot. The movie accurately depicts pilots training and job with the US Navy. If you are ever interested in becoming a pilot or want to get a good look at what they go through, this a great movie for you. I give it 4 out of 5 stars due to it being more of a documentary rather than more of an action film.
Customer Rating: Summary: Dedication to passion Comment: I saw this film in Hot Springs, AK mid October '08. What an incredible piece of work. Great footage of an incredible death defying art form. Aircraft of conflict! And more importantly, an excellent video diary of the passionate human spirit. Defeat is not an option. Meagans ordeal with her inner self on the carrier is a testament to the power of determination and "Faceshot" says all one needs to know about Jay.
Customer Rating: Summary: SPEED & ANGELS Comment: This movie is a must-see for Navy, and Tomcat Fans !!!!!!!!
Great footages, great music....
This one leave Top Gun far behind, and a mouthful of both adrenalin and jet-fuel !!!
Recommended
Customer Rating: Summary: Kick the tires 'n light the fires Comment: More or less as expected for a naval pilot documentary. A little slower paced than I would have liked, covering the 2 pilots' lives more than the actual flying. Some great video footage, and especially nice was the fact that the aircraft flown is the F-14, an aircraft now retired that we will see less and less of.

Director Peyton Wilson entered the world of U.S. Navy fighter pilots, and thanks to unprecedented access granted by the Navy, Peyton captured and created the most intimate film ever made on fighter pilots. Epic High Definition aerial footage and stunning cockpit photography provide a dramatic backdrop for the larger story of fighting for your dreams. Inspired by the passion of two young Navy officers she encountered, Peyton followed Jay and Meagan as they chased their childhood dream of becoming naval aviators flying the F-14 Tomcat. Their two and a half year journey takes them through dogfights in the Nevada desert, night landings on aircraft carriers off the Atlantic coast, and eventually to the biggest challenge young officers face: wartime deployment to Iraq. What begins as a story of realizing a childhood dream turns into a story of fighting for one's life and career as Jay and Meagan face the realities of war.
