Customer Rating: Summary: My Best Friend's Wedding from a guy's point of view Comment: I'm married and I watch movies with my wife from time to time. She is the romantic type and loves the classic chick-flicks. So I have to endure and watch them with her from time to time. This time it was Made of Honor. What made this one more appealing was the fact it was from the guy's point of view, allowing me some inside humor that I can laugh about.
Over all, it was predictable, but still good, fun and easy to watch.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not as great as you thought it was... Comment: The previews for this movie were much better than the actual movie. Although Patrick Dempsey is always a treat to watch I didn't think this movie was his best. It was a little cheesy and not really all that funny. The movie itself is about two best friends who have no physical chemistry to one another until the female finds love on a trip to Scotland. After she returns from her trip engaged, Dempsey realizes she is the love of his life and he has to have her. The movie then goes through the storyline of him being her made of honor and the journey that follows them as she discovers he is in love with her. Again, not Demspeys best film.
Customer Rating: Summary: Just another typical love story Comment: I really looked forward to watching this film, but ah! There is nothing new to see here. Its a very predictable film with some funny, dare I say laugh out loud (just not to hard) moments. I really can't even say that its worth the time, sadly. I mean if you are a McDreamy fan then you will probably want to watch. Also, if you are stuck in doors, in my case my date (well boyfriend) was running late and I found myself web surfing so I rented it online its an okay watch if the purpose is to fill in time, however I would not want to pay a couple of bucks to see it. If you have cable premiums then its probably best for you to wait for it to make it on there.
On another note, I watched 27 Dresses a couple of weeks ago and I didn't expect much from it but it was quite good. That movie would do over this one anyday- its story is entertaining, its plot is more substantial, and its not so very predictable though as most romantic dare I say comedies, as that one did not get any laughs out of me, you more of less know where the story will head. However, that film I felt was worth the time. Its also a very nice date movie- 27 Dresses is.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun Movie Comment: I'm a Patrick Dempsey fan and saw this movie when it was released in the theatre. After my recent trip to Scotland I was thrilled to find that some of the scenes were filmed in the beautiful historical places I visited. I just had to add "Made of Honor" to my DVD collection.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth the time Comment: I found this film trite and banal, the same thing hashed over and not done well. Unless you are a big McDreamy fan, and I am not, don't waste your time.
