Customer Rating: Summary: operating this printer a full time job Comment: When I first tried to scan something on this "all-in-one", it didn't work. I called HP and after a long time on the phone they told me that I needed a special driver to get the scanner to work (even though the printer was working fine).
That was when I was trying to scan a photo. Now I'm trying to scan an 8 x 10 sheet of paper for the first time. On whatever default setting is at work here, the scanner only scans a small section of the paper. I've been looking for a way to change this setting for half an hour.
I'm sure there's some setting or button that will cause this scanner to scan and 8 x 10 piece of paper, and if using my printer was my full time job I'd be happy to look for it some more. But getting this all in one to do it's primary tasks just doesn't seem worth the time it takes.
Customer Rating: Summary: AWFUL Comment: There aren't enough bad things in the world that can be said about this printer. It has cost me so much time, frustration and anguish. It's probably the worst printer in the history of printers and I cannot express how much I hate this printer. I'd rather invest $100 in Morgan Stanley right now than buy this printer if I was faced with that decision today. DO NOT BUY
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent for a Small Home Office Comment: I believe all the "USB disconnect" errors that others have been experiencing have all been with driver issues. The New drivers do not give that problem
I am very pleased with this printer. It makes perfect copies, it prints lighting fast. It looks sooo much nicer in person, and by the looks alone is worth the dollars. Looks like part of the MAC family, and you know how good the Mac designs are. High Quality materials everywhere, not that light type plastic, but a nice solid/shiny type.
Has not given me one error/problem!!
Well worth the money spent!
Customer Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER Comment: This is printer is a money pit. It constantly prints documents in color, no matter how I configure the software. The scan mode is nonfunctional no matter what I try. HP tech support is non-existent, I have spoken with customer reps in Canada, Philipines, and India and none of these people have used the printer or have a clue about the problem. The web tech support is also useless. This is the last Hp product I will own.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Printer for the Price Comment: This printer has been a great purchase for me. I wanted a quick printer with quality printing. Like many other HP printers, it is a bit of an ink hog, but unless you can find a 12 oz. ink bladder and rig it up to today's printers, you are not going to be happy about ink usage. Given that reality this is very good product.
