Summary: Easy to use & secure.
Comment: The lock is super easy to set up and easy to remember your combination. OK it won't be a long word but at least YOU set it up and change the combination anytime you need to. it is NOT a SUPER high security lock (not recommended for locking your store front gate or your bike but the lock can't be slim jim open. You need the combination to open AND CLOSE the lock (not a snap lock) The to set the combination, remove the cap where the shackle goes into the lock, the wheels will come out and place in the new combination with the assorted wheels. can be combine with other Master Lock 1534D Wheels of different colors if you choose to do so (assuming that you have purchase other color locks)

Comment: Don't buy this lock. Its cheap and literally falls apart and the combo changes.
I bought this lock to lock up my new shed. When its open you can remove the end piece and change the combonation. The problem is, is that the end piece literally 'falls off' if you mishandle the lock even slightly. Unless you are _very_careful_ this can also unexpectedly change the lock's combination to something you won't know.
I've had this happen twice. Once it change 1 number and I thought 'ok, so I'll have to be careful' and I was. But now it changed again. I don't know what to - I've tried everything 'close' to the combo I set.
Now I have a shed with my lawnmower and most of my tools in it which I can't open. I'm probably going to have to call a locksmith or buy a tool to cut the lock off.
On the other hand its so cheaply made I might be able to simply pry it apart with a screwdriver.
Masterlock quality has obviously nosedived.

Comment: This lock is perfect for standard gym lockers. It easily fits through the locker hole and the distinct color/shape makes it easy to find my locker.
This unit is heavy and locks securely unlikely some of the cheapo flimsy locks.

Comment: I always forget the password to three-digit combo locks. I never forget my password to this lock, and am ordering a new one, as I lost mine the other day. Certainly worth re-buying for me!

Comment: I would like to provide a review of this item. I purchased it to use on my rented locker at Gold's Gym and it turned out to be the VERY best choice in padlocks. When you're working out at the gym; you don't want to take time fumbling for a combo number or finding a key in your bag - this was just the answer. I just set the combo to be something super easy for me to remember; using all letters (It has number AND letter wheels) and its a super quick 'open' to my locker. I work out during lunch so saving time is of the utmost. The letters are easier to remember than a number combo for me but, as I said earlier; it does come with number wheels too. You can use both if you want to also - with letters and numbers in your code. Very sturdy, colorful enamel Masterlock. I would recommend this lock to anyone looking for high quality and really reasonable price. I'm happy I purchased it.
