Customer Rating: Summary: my son is very happy! Comment: My son wanted these goggles, he's going to make infra-red goggles out of them, but in the mean time, he really enjoys wearing them and calling himself a mad scientist.. lol Anyways, we're very happy with the product, it was as described, and the delivery was timely. Thanks!
Customer Rating: Summary: They Get the Job Done Comment: These are simple plastic goggles that will keep you from being blinded while welding and brazing. They do their job well enough. They do have considerable promise as part of a costume, however.
Customer Rating: Summary: Quite nice for a mad scientist costume Comment: I ordered these to round off a mad scientist costume for Halloween, so I can't speak to how well they actually work as brazing goggles - but as costume elements they were sturdy, very nicely adjustable (you can adjust both the headstrap and the nose piece), and cool looking. The plastic frame was teal instead of black, but I liked the teal better. Something to keep in mind though if you are trying to match your goggles to something. They arrived fairly quickly, too!
Customer Rating: Summary: Stylish Goggles Comment: FYI: The goggles I received were dark forest green, not black like the photo might show. Still, I adore these goggles for fashion eyewear because the goggles unscrew to release the lenses (one clear, one tinted smoky brown). I've replaced them with wire mesh, colored lenses, and punctured and painted metal foil. The goggles are easily painted another color if you use a primer first.
Arrived quickly and responsibly. Such a great set of specs for the price.

Safety glasses and brazing goggles feature #5 lens protection from infrared rays given off during gas welding, cutting, burning and brazing. Not suitable for arc or mig welding.
