Comment: I ordered a more expensive architects scale (different brand) from a local drafting supply company, but dont like to use it at all because the center groove somehow isnt deep or wide enough to get a good grip on it, so it is very difficult to hang onto, which is exceptionally frustrating to use when in a hurry. The Staedtler-Mars model shown here however is wonderful, one can quickly get a grip on it, and easily hang onto it. Ive tried several architect scales over the years, and Im happiest with this one. It also has the tri-colored grooves to more quickly find one's desired scale. Sometimes the photo associated with this product shows 2 scales, but if you order it you only get the architects scale, not the engineers.
