Summary: Loved It!
Comment: Wonderful read--unless you're like the previous reviewer and only read romance novels, which this isn't. It's a well-written, witty, funny and engaging urban fantasy. One of the best series in the genre, in my opinion.

Comment: I think this author needs to review some principles of writing books. She has so much action in her books that you just get tired of jumping from one disaster to another. She fails completely on drawing a vivid picture of her characters. At the end of the book I have a bunch of names in my head and not a single defining characteristic sticks so I can get a true feel for them. The reviewer says nonstop thrill ride but even a good roller coaster has some slow places so you can catch your breath. Long descriptive passages of place and character provides these breathing spaces, something Ms. Chance does not excell at to put it mildly. Unfortunately her lack of desciption makes these characters and her story a forgettable jumble of exploding noise without much entertainment being offered.
It's clear Ms. Chance has a good imagination but she very much needs some help polishing her writing skills.

Summary: Good sequel to a great story.
Comment: This is the second in a series of four books (the fourth is not yet published). The action is almost non-stop(seems to be the norm), along with a plethora of vampires, black and white mages (magic), Fairies, humor, and anything else that can be thrown into the mix. Cassandra Palmer is now the Pythia whether she likes it or not. That makes her the head Seer of the world, and just about everyone wants her dead unless she sides with them. There is a war going on between the black mages and the Vampire Senate, court intrigue, humor, and Murphy's Law to name a few things. Her trusty side-kick is a ghost and they have to put up with an acerbic mage. What else could a lady want? A good book that I highly recommend.

Summary: confusing but a solid story
Comment: ok i know i sound confusing but hear me out.
this book was confusing in the fact that the time shifts were not real clear, and kept shifting back and foward with no warning to the reader.
The story line was` a good one though and if you can stick with it, you'll like it.
I just wish the author was a little more mature in the thought process of her plots.
