CellForCash.com Will Award a new Firefly Cell Phone to the Winner of its Latest Monthly Website Drawing
Participants must answer five poll questions. The winner will get the new phone, and also qualify for CellForCash.com’s annual $1,000 grand prize
Ocala, Fla. (PRWEB) August 28, 2005 -- CellForCash.com announced today it
will award a Firefly cell phone or $100 in cash to the winner of its monthly
website drawing. Firefly cell phones are designed specifically for kids in the
8-to-12 age group.
To enter the drawing, people must go to www.CellForCash.com and then
answer a series of survey questions. This month's survey deals with whether
young “tween-aged” kids should have their own cell phones, and whether that cell
phone usage should be monitored and regulated.
“With kids returning to
school, we thought it would be a good time to find out what people think about
cell phone usage by kids,” said James Mosieur, chief executive officer of RMS
Communications Group Inc., the parent company of CellForCash.com.
This
month's survey includes the following five questions:
1. Do you think
8-to-12-year-olds should carry their own cell phones?
2. Should schools ban
kids from bringing cell phones into their classrooms?
3. Do you think cell
phones provide kids with an additional level of safety?
4. Should parents
control who their kids talk to on their cell phones?
5. Should parents be
able to program their kids' cell phones?
People who complete the survey
and enter their e-mail addresses qualify to win a Firefly cell phone, a new
phone product designed specifically for 8-to-12-year-olds. They may opt to take
$100 in cash in place of the phone if they wish. The winner also qualifies to
win CellForCash.com's annual grand prize of $1,000.
Some industry
analysts believe that the 8-to-12-year-old market segment offers the biggest
growth potential of any age group for new cell phone sales. But others think
that kids in that age group have no real need to carry their own wireless
phones.
“As a company that buys and sells old cell phones, we're very
interested in finding out how people feel about this issue,” Mosieur
said.
Besides www.CellForCash.com, RMS operates a number of other web sites.
One, www.WirelessFundraiser.com, provides cash to non-profit
organizations that collect and send in old cell phones. Another, www.RecycleForUS.com, is an
environmental initiative that helps companies, government agencies and other
groups and individuals collect and recycle old cell phones.
The company
also operates the 911 Cell Phone Bank program, through which it donates over
1,000 cell phones every month to law enforcement and other agencies for use as
911 emergency phones.
