Wireless TV is Born, Creating the Language for 3G Content
Manhattan-based Wireless TV & Studios Inc., launches the first all-inclusive wireless content development and production studios.
New York, NY (PRWEB via PR Web
Direct) August 19, 2005 -- Manhattan-based Wireless TV & Studios Inc.,
launches the first all-inclusive wireless content development and production
studios. Having already developed and implemented a 2-way interactive wireless
communication system in a fleet of NYC limousines in the late '90s, the team
behind Wireless TV is no new comer to the industry.
Wireless TV
Spokesperson, Paula Chorley expressed, "Our purpose has been to develop a
solution for the lack of understanding of what wireless content is, what it
should be, and its limitless potential."
Eduardo Lipschutz-Villa,
President of Wireless TV, when approached commented, "Unfortunately, the
hardware and the investments in the wireless networks were determined without
any consideration for the content. When in practicality, it is the content that
will drive the growth. The wireless content available now has limited growth
potential and could jeopardize further development of the industry. Due to lack
of content offers and pressed for time, the major carriers have opted for
compressing programming made for television and calling it wireless content.
Users will not watch an entire movie or a football game on their phones if they
can see it at home via the technology it was made for. This is still a long way
from being true wireless content with its full potential at play. Confusing the
public might prove detrimental in the long run."
Today's launch of
Wireless TV is comprised of individuals who spear-headed the advent of the
digital and Internet invasions. They were at the forefront, with clients such as
The Virgin Group, Unitel, BellSouth, Silicon Graphics, and MetLife.
"It
is important to develop a content language specific to the technology. A clear
understanding of the behavioral relationship between the user, the device and
the circumstances will be the most successful," Ms. Chorley added.
As
announced today, Wireless TV & Studios has developed a fall 2005 season of
channels created specifically for Wireless video carriers. Comprised of live and
pre-recorded content, these channels aim to penetrate the market via
relationships with the major carriers.
As of this moment, Wireless TV
has not released the facts of the individual channels, but it did disclose the
establishment of a strategic alliance with Manhattan's post house Nitrous Ltd.
Nitrous' extensive experience has established them as leaders in post-production
and broadcast quality control and assurance earning them the trust of clients
such as ABC, ESPN, and HBO. This joint venture gives birth to the first
tailor-made wireless post-production environment providing complete services.
These services range from shooting on location to transmission via mobile unit,
posting and live delivery to the client when and as it is needed.
Paul C.
Rosen, president of Nitrous Ltd said, "It is essential to understand the
potential and limits of new technologies as they evolve and that a difference
exists in creating and executing content for the various technologies. We are
proud to be the first to build a specific environment for wireless content and
to be able to be part of the development of a new audio-visual language and to
have the possibility to offer it to our clients. It is important that we grow
and evolve with the technology. It is the duty we have towards our clients and
the industry."
"As MTV developed the language of cable. We have developed
the lingo of Wireless TV."
