Intelligraphics, Inc. announces it has become a member of the Wi-Fi Alliance, taking an active role in establishing industry-wide standards for this rapidly emerging market.
(PRWEB) April 8, 2005 -- Further demonstrating its commitment to the
fast-growing Wi-Fi market, Intelligraphics, Inc., today announced that it has
joined the Wi-Fi Alliance. By joining the Alliance, Intelligraphics—the leading
outsource provider for device drivers, firmware and board support packages for
the wireless semiconductor community—strengthens its grip on the Wi-Fi market
and takes an active role in the establishment of industry-wide standards and
product interoperability. As one of the first device driver providers to join
the Alliance, Intelligraphics’ membership highlights the importance of software
as well as hardware in enabling successful Wi-Fi solutions.
“Most people
think hardware or application software when they hear Wi-Fi, but device driver,
firmware, and board support packages are formative parts of developing Wi-Fi
products and extending the market,” said Mike Warren, vice president of Sales
and Marketing at Intelligraphics. “Intelligraphics is pleased to offer device
driver and system level software solutions for Wi-Fi networks. Based on our
leadership in mobile device driver technology, Intelligraphics plans to
collaborate with other members of the Wi-Fi Alliance to help solve the
challenges that are inherent in Wi-Fi networks.”
“In becoming a member of
the Wi-Fi Alliance, Intelligraphics joins more than 200 companies from around
the globe who are committed to delivering interoperable Wi-Fi solutions and
ensuring a positive user experience through our Wi-Fi CERTIFIED programs,” said
Wi-Fi Alliance Managing Director Frank Hanzlik. “We are pleased to have them
become a part of the organization.”
