Royalty Free Music Site Offers Internet Radio
CSS Music, a leading provider of royalty free music for use in film, television, and corporate and multimedia applications, has introduced an Internet radio station that plays original, instrumental, and royalty free music.
(PRWEB) April 13, 2005 -- CSS Music, a leading provider of royalty
free music for production of film, television, and corporate and multimedia
applications, has announced what it calls “CSS Music Radio” on its web site at
www.CSSMusic.com.
Billed as “Your Source for the Best
Original Instrumental Music”, CSS Music Radio will resemble actual radio
stations in many ways. DJ personalities, sweepers, sounders, and even brief
commercials will all be programmed in conjunction with Rogue Amoeba’s Nicecast
(the DJ) and Nullsoft’s Shoutcast (the radio transmitter).
Voice
personalities located all over the United States will send their “liners” across
the Internet to Program Director Marshall Such at the Dallas headquarters of
Radio Potato, Inc., a firm specializing in radio station imaging since 1994.
“Marshall handles the programming and we get it out over the web,”
explains Scott Fuller, On-Net Group’s Internet radio specialist. “Nicecast and
Shoutcast are truly a dynamic duo when it comes to radio for the internet. It
sounds like radio because it is radio, in the finest tradition. Soon, Radio
Potato will be adding a jingle package to the station to put the frosting on the
cake.”
CSS Music Radio will initially feature predominantly the royalty
free music from the CSS Production Music Libraries, but it will also include
interviews with CSS Music composers and various contributors from the film,
television, and video industries. Eventually, some air time will be devoted to
“talk radio” on a variety of film and television topics and some non-industry
topics as well.
The CSS royalty free music library has
more than 10,000 tracks and is growing all the time, making it one of the
largest libraries of its kind in the world. The library includes some of the
most popular music genres, which will be playing on CSS Music Radio 24 hours a
day.
“I’ve been in radio for 30 years and in royalty free production
music with CSS Music for the last 16,” said Radio Potato’s Marshall Such. “We’ve
always known royalty free music made for some good listening, but now we
can prove the point side by side with the commercially available music
traditional radio plays.
“Royalty free music is album
quality,” Such continued. “It has to be, since it’s used in film and television
projects around the world. CSS composer David Wurst, for example, has more than
fifty full-length motion picture scores to his credit and is currently working
on two scores for Columbia Tri-Star.”
The CSS Royalty Free Music Library is available on CD, CD-ROM, and
hard drive and can be downloaded on an individual track basis or by the CD
volume. Royalty Free Music is licensed on a 99-year “lifetime blanket”
basis for AV/Video, film, and TV. It is often also called “buyout” music.
