The Briefcase Database Makes Advertising Executives Look Smarter
When you are on the road preparing for that big meeting you are only as good as the content of your briefcase allows. Wouldn’t it be great to carry thousands of articles and creative examples on every business trip for your reference when necessary? Unfortunately commuter flights limit you to one piece of carry-on and a four-drawer aluminum file cabinet won’t match your Tumi Garment bag.
(PRWEB) March 28, 2005 -- When you are on the road preparing for that big
meeting you are only as good as the content of your briefcase allows. Wouldn’t
it be great to carry thousands of articles and creative examples on every
business trip for your reference when necessary? Unfortunately commuter flights
limit you to one piece of carry-on and a four-drawer aluminum file cabinet won’t
match your Tumi Garment bag.
Massachusetts based advertising agency Mass
Reach Interactive has built a free peer to peer (Linux/PHP) database allowing
advertising executives to share content and creative with one another. http://www.thebriefcase.org
contains content offered by Mediapost, emarketer, ClickZ, Business Wire,
iMediaConnection, Ad Rants, Reuters and many more free of charge. You could just
go to each site and look for the right article, but it may no longer be
available. Often you would have to search 50 sites to find the article you need.
We aren’t reinventing the wheel here, just trying to make the life of road
warriors a bit easier.
How many times has a colleague sent a valuable
article that you’ve filed away in a random folder of Outlook? How many times
have you been stumped on a pitch in desperate need of that article only to
realize you have no idea where you filed it? Next time you see a great article
or somebody forwards valuable content your way – post it on theBriefcase. It
will be there when you need it later. Just make sure you site your sources.
Nobody likes a plagiarist.
Membership is not required and anybody can
search and post articles to http://www.thebriefcase.org no matter their membership status.
There are benefits to membership such as a free blog software and access to
email updates from the webmaster. The determination was made not to require
membership as there is no intention to market to members or profit from this
site in any way.
The Briefcase Creative:
The creative arm of the
Briefcase answers the need for a quick resource to see interactive creative
examples. How many times client requests for an example of online advertising
creative has left you scratching your head thinking of a resource that can offer
such a service free of charge? www.thebriefcase.org/creative is the new resource that allows
the Advertising Executive an opportunity to preview and post creative in a
public forum to share with advertisers. This database is categorized by vertical
and searchable by ad size and technology (eg. flash).
Do you have the
right tools to be the best in your industry? What’s in your briefcase?
