For school districts with a limited Wide Area Network (WAN) bandwidth, the DESS system “Store-and-Forward” feature automatically downloads digital video files over the WAN to the local DESS system allowing teachers or students to play the videos back over the school LAN. The LAN and WAN focus of the DESS system helps provide equal access throughout the district to all available digital video content.
