Torrance, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2005 -- Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) announces the new 1200E AES/EBU Digital Audio Fiber Optic transmission module. The 1200E Series transports 4 or 8 channels of sync/async AES/EBU (Audio Engineering Society/European Broadcasting Union) digital audio over a single fiber by uniquely using the time division multiplexing technique. In addition, the 1200E Series can operate as a stand-alone unit or integrated with other BCI modules in a card cage. Also, the 1200E can accommodate other types of services, such as serial RS-232/422 or analog audio through a unique custom interface design.

“The 1200E represents a key technological breakthrough and it solves all of the previous concerns in the “old” AES/EBU multiplexer, including ‘pop’ sound during input switching and the requirement for synchronized AES/EBU inputs,” said BCI President and CEO, Freddie Lin.

BCI’s 1200E Series was developed to provide the highest possible quality, digital, audio, uncompressed, multi-channel transmission. Each channel operates independently from the other and features muting circuitry to provide a “pop free” output during switching of the input source - another unique feature found in BCI’s 1200E. It is also S/PDIF compatible (Sony/Phillips Digital Interface, a standard audio file transfer format developed jointly by the Sony and Phillips corporations) and interfaces with the BCIView Network Management System (see press release dated April 18, 2005).
