2004 & 2005 Stats Show Color Print-On-Demand Challenging Commercial Printing
Freeprinters.com President, Dennis Walthers commented today on analysis released from the NPES, the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies.
Flower Mound, TX (PRWEB) September 10, 2005 -- Freeprinters.com President,
Dennis Walthers commented today on analysis released from the NPES, the
Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies.
''Stats from the last two years have shown that more than 60% of
commercial printers feel that within the next two years, more than half their
printing jobs will require 24 hour turnover or faster,'' says Walthers. The NPES
has predicted that leading up to 2007, revenues from digital printing in the
industry would continue to grow.
Taking advantage of this trend, Walthers
has ignited what could be a controversy in the printing industry by offering
wide format color laser printers free of charge to US based businesses. His
company, known for distributing free printers to high volume users, is banking
on this business model to bring down the cost of printing capital for small
commercial printers and print shops.
The company requires no reporting,
and clients do not need to print a minimum number of pages each month or each
quarter. Participating businesses and organizations receive automatic monthly or
quarterly shipments of ink cartridges at rates that represent up to 35% savings
over prevailing retail prices for similar products with no additional shipping
charges. The programs also include up to three years of free on-site service.
Upon successful completion of the printer program, clients own their printers
outright with no further monthly requirements.
The Lexmark C920 prints
paper sizes up to 12'' X 48''. Freeprinters.com introduced this line of printer
into its services for clients who have an increasing need to print in color but
don't want to sacrifice quality, performance or much-needed
funds."
