Google. The New York Subway. Seventies TV Stars. New Online Quiz Site Plentysmart.com Tests Your Knowledge
Plentysmart.com announces the official launch of its website at plentysmart.com -- a new online quiz site where users test their knowledge of a wide variety of subjects.
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) September 7, 2005 -- Plentysmart.com announces the
official launch of its website at www.plentysmart.com -- a new
online quiz site where users test their knowledge of a wide variety of
subjects.
While trying to promote a New York computer business, Brooklyn
entrepreneur Ian Compton decided to create an online quiz on the New York subway
system. The challenging quiz proved popular with New Yorkers and received
mention on various blogs and other websites. Taking the idea a step further, Ian
created a new website devoted entirely to online quizzes and thus
Plentysmart.com was born.
Today the site contains dozens of quizzes on
all kinds of subjects, and the list is continually growing. Thousands of
visitors per month come to test their knowledge and to have a little fun in the
process.
"We create new quizzes on a regular basis," says Compton. "In
the future we will be releasing quizzes related to current events, holidays, and
special dates. We already have a Halloween quiz planned, along with a number of
Christmas quizzes. In addition, there is a link on the home page for people who
would like to join our mailing list in order to receive notification of these
new quizzes as they come out."
In terms of popularity, some quizzes rank
higher than others. "Currently, our most popular quiz is the Google quiz," says
Compton. "It tests your knowledge of the special commands and operators one can
use to perform better searches. I think one of the reasons it's so popular is
that a lot of people have come to view Google as an essential tool, and want to
learn to use it better. Our quiz helps you to do that."
Since being
released, the Google quiz has been mentioned on dozens of blogs around the
world, and was featured in Digital Life TV's third online broadcast, on
September 30th.
According to Compton, the New York subway quiz is still
quite popular as well. "For all its problems, New Yorkers love the subway and
want to show their knowledge of it. We have also created a number of New York
quizzes meant for those who don't live in the city and would perhaps like to
learn more."
Other quizzes cover subjects as diverse as stock ticker
symbols, baseball team rosters, blackjack strategy, and calorie counts for fast
food burgers.
