Gridlogix Adds Support for LONWORKS® to Protocol Translator Software
Gridlogix, Inc., a leading creator of enabling interoperable XML Web Services technology today announced enhanced support for Echelon Corporation’s i.LON® 100 Internet Server. The Gridlogix EnNET® CMC Server is a software application that extends the functionality of the i.LON 100 to include robust protocol translation between LONWORKS® networks and other automation protocols and systems. Access to the LONWORKS device bus is provided by the i.LON 100 allowing BACnet/IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, SNMP, OPC DA and many legacy automation protocols to be seamlessly integrated with standard LONWORKS networks.

support for Echelon Corporation’s i.LON® 100 Internet Server. The Gridlogix
EnNET® CMC Server is a software application that extends the functionality of
the i.LON 100 to include robust protocol translation between LONWORKS® networks
and other automation protocols and systems. Access to the LONWORKS device bus is
provided by the i.LON 100 allowing BACnet/IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, SNMP, OPC

Other enhancements to the i.LON 100’s
functionality include:
• Support for near real-time connectivity to ODBC
compliant relational databases,
• EnNET CMC’s Firewall Proxy technology
provides remote access to the i.LON 100 and the attached LONWORKS network
without requiring the use of fixed and public IP addresses,
• The Gridlogix
multi-protocol device management application known as EnNET Device Explorer now
includes robust support for the i.LON 100 and any attached LONWORKS network
devices,
• LONWORKS network variables can be translated into standard
BACnet/IP objects and the standardized WSDL (Web Service Description Language)
interface that EnNET provides for all other supported protocols now includes the
unique capabilities of the i.LON.
