Rapper Kanye West to Play at Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf Weekend in Jamaica
The Grammy Award-winning rap artist and producer, along with other black celebrities and white celebrities from sports and entertainment, will join T-Buck for a celebrity golf tournament and fund-raiser at the Ritz Carlton Jamaica in April. Other celebrities who have confirmed include basketball legend Michael Jordan, former New York Giants’ linebacker Lawrence Taylor and actress Angela Bassett.

West has accepted an invitation to play golf with a host of sports and
entertainment celebrities and their fans at the Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf Weekend
in Jamaica April 15-17.
Luminaries ranging from basketball legend
Michael Jordan to actors Angela Bassett and Robert Townsend to entertainer
Tanika Ray have also accepted T Buck’s invitation to join numerous celebrities
in a grand golf weekend with up to 100 non-celebrities at the Ritz-Carlton in
Montego Bay.
West won Grammy Awards for best rap album, best R&B song
and best rap song at the 47th annual Grammy Awards earlier this year for his
double-platinum, Grammy-winning debut, “The College Dropout.”
West is
reportedly working on a new album called “Late Registration” and is expected to
soon release one more single and video, "Spaceship," from “the College
Dropout.”
T-Buck, who played football for the New England Patriots in the
2002 Super Bowl and for the New York Jets last season, has invited a host of
athletes and entertainers to the celebrity golf weekend in Jamaica.
The
celebrities will join T-Buck, a Florida State University Hall of Famer, for
mixing, mingling and golfing with fans while benefiting Jamaica’s youth.
The Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf
Weekend at the famed Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort will raise funds for
the Mustard Seed Communities, a non-profit organization caring for babies and
children with disabilities.
Other celebrities who have confirmed their
attendance include actors Vivica Fox, Malik Yoba, Orlando Bloom and Scott
Bailey, the Miami Heat’s Shaquille O'Neal, , former New York Giants’ linebacker
Lawrence Taylor and NFL players Derrick Brooks and Marshall Faulk.
The
weekend’s events will include a Friday night “mixer” where up to 100 guests will
be paired with a celebrity for the next day’s golf at the White Witch Golf
Course in Jamaica; a silent auction; award presentation; and a Jamaican beach
party on the shores of the Caribbean.
Tickets are still available for
fans interested in attending the celebrity golf weekend. The cost for an
all-inclusive package is $4,000 and includes two round-trip airfares on Air
Jamaica, accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton for two, all meals, beverages,
taxes, gratuities, airport transfers in Jamaica for two and two rounds of golf
on April 16. A third person in the room is available for and additional
$1,900.
