Adventure Studios' Team-Makers Unit Debuts “Living Stories” Immersive Teambuilding Experiences
"Stageplex Living Stories" by Adventure Studios Team-Makers Places Team-Building Participants in Role Play as part of Unfolding Stories with Live Actors
Westlake Village, CA (PRWEB) February 17, 2005 – Themed Entertainment
Consultant Adventure Studios LLC announced today that its Team-Makers
Teambuilding Unit now offers an exhilarating new themed entertainment event
format for corporations and other groups seeking a shared team experience – the
"Immersive Living Story."
“We call the experiential format, StagePlex, “
said Amy Giggins, Marketing Director for Adventure Studios Team-Makers, “the
term is intended to convey the idea of living, varied “live acted” experiences.
Several years ago Adventure Studios developed the concept for StagePlex Living
Stories as a fixed location-based themed entertainment venue, but taking the
storylines and the experience to the event business is an exciting variation
since we literally bring the show to our clients.” Team-Makers will integrate
the event format in formal teambuilding programs, corporate picnics, and for
special events at trade shows and conventions. "We all know the world is heading
towards experiential marketing and experiential branding and design, and we view
our StagePlex team-building events as part of this move to the experiential
marketplace" said Amy Giggins.
The StagePlex Living Stories format places
event guests in the midst of a story played out in real-time with actors. Event
guests are immersed in the stories with specific tasks, problem-solving, and
mysteries to explore. There is no stage, and team building participants follow
the actors as the living story unfolds. “The StagePlex format was built for
teambuilding,” said Don Bredberg, a creative consultant to Team-Makers, “we can
take real historical events or create fantastical storylines, and allow our
clients to achieve their team building objectives while thrilling their
employees and bringing a shared experience back to their organization for
ongoing impact.”
Originally conceived at Universal Studios by then
Universal executive Don Bredberg and third-party Tamara producer Barrie Wexler,
"Living Stories" was explored for application to the out-of-home entertainment
business. Adventure Studios eventually partnered with Barrie Wexler to acquire
rights to the concept from Universal Studios, change the "in development"
concept name to StagePlex, and set out develop the Stageplex business. While
plans remain to develop permanent StagePlex venues in key world cities,
Adventure Studios Team-Makers unit has adapted the format to the team building
event business.
Adventure Studios' Team-Makers Unit is based in Westlake
Village, California. In June 2004 the highly experienced teambuilding unit
managed the host site for Closing Ceremonies of the Las Vegas Corporate
Challenge, one of the largest corporate Olympics and team-building programs in
the U.S. Adventure Studios has been in operation since 1999 as designers and
consultants to themed entertainment facilities and retail-entertainment centers
throughout the U.S. and Asia. Adventure Studios LLC, a Nevada limited liability
company, is under agreement to be acquired by affiliate Stonecreek LLC, a
process to be completed by year-end.
