Anyone can enter a WPT event. Part of
the appeal of poker is that as long as you ante up the tournament entry fee, you
can compete against the best. You don't have to be a pro, unlike other
professional sports.
Players can enter WPT online satellites for the
Party Poker Million, Bay 101 Shooting Stars, the L.A. Poker Classic and the WPT
Championship. The Party Poker Million is a tournament held on a magnificent
cruise ship and the Shooting Stars is a unique poker tournament in which poker
fans can play against a poker superstar. The WPT Championship is the biggest
poker tournament of the year, with a buy-in of $25,000. A complete list of these
online satellites can be found at http://www.wptinsider.com.
Launched in 2004, the WPT
Insider, at http://www.wptinsider.com, is the number one source for WPT
results, news, event coverage, trip reports, and articles on the World Poker
Tour. It’s a place any poker player should visit to get more information about
the World Poker Tour.
