AltaPoint Data Systems, LLC, an Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software Company, Codes Software in one Language to Produce Native Applications for Windows, Macintosh and Linux
AltaPoint Data Systems, LLC will offer multi-platform practice management and electronic medical records software on Windows, Macintosh and Linux using Real Software Inc. The new software upgrade will be released in the fourth quarter of 2005. Current Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record software is available for Windows.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) May 27, 2005 -- AltaPoint Data System, LLC., a
Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records software company, has chosen
to use the Real Basic programming environment, a product from Real Software Inc.
to provide native source applications for the Windows, Macintosh and Linux
Operating System Platforms.
Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL
Software, Inc. said, "AltaPoint's use of the REALbasic software development
environment is a perfect example of how REALbasic provides cross-platform that
really works. REALbasic enables AltaPoint to bring their products that used to
only exist on Windows to the Macintosh and Linux, enabling them to reach new
markets and new customers in record time."
AltaPoint showcased a preview
of their Version 7 Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management system
running natively on the new Macintosh OS X, Windows XP and SUSE Linux operating
systems at the Towards Electronic Patient Record (TEPR) conference May 16–18,
2005.
Supporting these systems creates opportunities in all medical
practice management markets and takes advantage of niche markets such as plastic
surgery and radiography - a strong apple client base, and the technical
administrative market where IT administrators have a high usage rate of
Linux.
In addition to supporting a full line of Windows products,
AltaPoint is prepared to offer dynamic solutions to the growing number of Apple
users in the medical systems market as well as the growing Linux-user market.
AltaPoint Version 7 is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of
2005.
