Rappers Become "Roaches" in Animation TV Series
Billboards top hip hop performers join animation television series cast.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2005 -- 777 Entertainment Group has
successfully attached Billboards top hip hop artists as voice over talent for
their new half hour animation television series “The Roaches”. The comedy
created by Marcello Robinson and Deborah Young, centers around a family of
Roaches who are evicted from their Beverly Hills mansion and are forced to
relocate to a Chicago housing project. Lead character, Ghetto (pronounced Jet-O)
Roach is a bourgeois roach that has to swallow his pride and provide for his
family, surviving off his wits and limited resources on the mean streets of
Chicago. 777 Entertainment Group is currently shopping the animation series to
multiple major and cable networks. Rap stars Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jada Kiss,
Ying Yang Twins, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and comedian Mama Stokes are
all attached. “It is our goal to take animation television in a new direction
across multicultural boundaries that give a realistic view of everyday life
while entertaining the masses” said Marcello Robinson. The series is being
produced through the partners of Triple Seven; Marcello Robinson, Onie Rivers
and Deborah Young. The entertainment company has been in business for four years
and this will be their first television project in the animation genre. “The hip
hop industry has really embraced this show and is in full support, “My
Blackberry is blowing up” said Onie Rivers. The producers are close to
finalizing a deal and plan to make another announcement shortly.
