The Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on March 4, 2005 in celebration of welcoming Lia Soscia – Personal Chef and owner of Home Cooking Consultant Personal Chef Service to the community and their membership. Lia was given a Citation from Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg and a Certificate of Merit from NYS Assemblywoman Maureen O’Connell. Imagine having your own, affordable personal chef who prepares meals for you in your own kitchen! Individual tastes and dietary restrictions are always noted during your free personal chef consultation.
(PRWEB) March 14, 2005 -- Lia has been cooking for almost 30 years for
friends and family. Having grown up with her Italian grandparents, she had much
exposure to good home cooked food. She spent most of her childhood working on
new culinary creations, many of which used the finest ingredients.
After
graduating Hofstra University with a degree in Music Business (Lia is a
professional soprano and still sings with the Bel Canto Chorale in Wantagh and
does various church weddings), she spent over 20 successful years in various
high tech marketing and sales positions. Every free moment during that time,
though, was spent scouring new cookbooks, cooking for family holidays and
friends, and learning about regional foods through her various travels through
the U.S.
Lia has learned a majority of her techniques from her unending
library of cookbooks and food magazines. Lia enjoys watching food cooking shows,
researching new recipes on the Internet, and especially enjoys recipes from many
different cultures such as Japanese, Mexican, Italian, and others. Because of
her passion for healthy, nutritious meals, she creates dishes that are made with
only the freshest ingredients!
Lia recently started a Personal Chef
Service, Home Cooking Consultant as a way to extend her cooking talents to
others. Services include home meal preparation, cooking lessons & parties,
recipe research, modifications and testing, personal cookbook publishing, and
kitchen organization & design consultation. Lia has recently been certified
in Serv Safe food safety by the NY Restaurant Association, and has also received
a certificate from the Wilson Tech School in Dix Hills for Professional Culinary
Arts & Catering. She has studied under Long Island's Chef Armand
Vanderstigchel and is looking forward to continuing her culinary studies well
into the future.
What a wonderful idea to come home from work and your
meals are all prepared. To make an appointment with Lia for your FREE personal
chef consultation please call 1-516-826-3169 or you may visit her on the web http://www.cheflia.com.
